leasing

Many leasing companies use MiX Telematics for a vehicle management system that enables them to provide their customers with comprehensive and accurate fleet data management.

OVERVIEW

Leasing Solutions

Ensure fairness and objectivity in your fleet management service with our on-board computer-generated odometer reading and data for objective accounting and reporting.

By understanding the needs of a leasing company and end-user clients, MiX Telematics has identified some key features:

  • Objective, transparent odometer (mileage) reporting
  • Integration into back-end systems through secure interfaces
  • Driver identification
  • Tracking and stolen vehicle recovery
  • Vehicle error and trip reports

KEY FEATURES

Odometer Reporting

Odometer ReportingThe on-board computer has its own mileage counter that accurately records and reports on distances travelled by vehicles within the fleet. This information is presented through trip reports or published via a secure push web service, allowing for accurate mileage based billing, accounting and vehicle management.

SDK Integration

SDKSecure SDKs (software development kits) provide data such as odometer data to third party systems on a push or pull basis, enabling integration of MiX Telematics' systems with clients systems (e.g. billing, financial,).

Trip Reports and Vehicle Utilization

ReportsTrip reports provide insight into driver trips, highlighting exceptions (e.g. entry into no-go zones), driving violations (e.g. over speeding), and include details such as trip start date and time, start location, trip distance, end location, driving time, idling time, parking time, associated driver, etc.

Vehicle Tracking

Vehicle TrackingThe current position of vehicles can be plotted on a street level or satellite map that updates as your vehicles move. Status updates of events that occur within the vehicle will also be posted. You can also replay routes of trips that have already been completed to identify route deviations and anomalies.

Driver Identification using Blue Driver Code-Plug

Driver Code plugThe blue driver code-plug, commonly known as the driver tag, is used to control/restrict vehicle access and identify drivers to the vehicle. By using the driver tag you can ensure that each trip undertaken has a driver associated with it, thus enabling you to associate driving violations and events with specific drivers and enabling input into driver training and incentive programs.
