The MiX Telematics Satellite Communication Solution has been developed for use in areas where no currently supported communication infrastructure (GSM, WiFi or DECT) is available.
The solution uses the leading Inmarsat D+ satellite system which consists of 4 geostationary satellites offering global coverage. FM Sat Comms consists of the following components:
