MiX Telematics launches JMC in Dubai

MiX Telematics and our subsidiary, SafeDrive International (SDI), have launched our first Journey Management Centre (JMC) based in Dubai, United Arab Emirates. The JMC automates the journey planning and management process behind journeys, and assists clients in reducing their road crashes and losses associated with land transportation. Integral to this solution is the electronic planning and tracking application, ‘MiX SafeDrive’, together with a state of the art 24/7 secure monitoring centre.
What can MiX Telematics’ JMC do for you?
The JMC offers assistance in allocating compliant resources against requests which are processed by subject matter experts that are removed from the operational pressures of a client organisation. The various driver training certificates and licenses can also be managed automatically, avoiding expiration and the loss in time associated with managing last minute compliance.

This comprehensive solution removes the need for paper-based journey planning thereby improving efficiency and accountability while also challenging the need for each journey, which eliminates the chance of unnecessary journeys taking place, thereby reducing the risk. In one case alone, this offering has been seen to reduce a client’s automobile accident rate by up to 60% and assist them in realising a 95% reduction in costs associated with vehicle damage.
Journeys can automatically be monitored from the stages of planning through to approval and dispatch and even cater for the vehicle and passengers safe arrival. Alerts will be sent if anything out of the ordinary occurs, allowing automated detection of incidents of non compliance and easy and targeted intervention. Route planning and pre-defined routes can easily be determined with the technology provided by MiX SafeDrive and depending on what in-vehicle hardware is installed, live asset tracking and monitoring is also available. |

The JMC is available on a subscription basis to any client with a vehicle fleet wishing to reduce crashes and improve fleet efficiencies. In addition to Journey Management, the modular framework of this solution also provides for additional support from In Vehicle Monitoring Systems to Defensive Driving and Consultancy Services should they be required.
