Wrings Transport has fitted its 40-strong fleet with the latest MiX Telematics systems, designed to involve drivers more in saving fuel.
The FM300 fleet management system now features a RIBAS dashboard-mounted device with five LEDs, which flash when a driver exceeds a pre-programmed vehicle parameter. This covers over-revving, idling, harsh braking or acceleration, and speeding.

First, hijackers in "unmarked" police vehicles targeted trucks.
Now, they're using the same ploy to hijack cars.
According to pre-festive season statistics, there was a 15 percent increase in thefts and hijackings in September this year, compared with September last year.
Most of these incidents involved passenger vehicles, not trucks carrying cargo.
And it's only the start of the festive season.

MiX Telematics has launched a new in-cab display for its FM300 telematics system in a bid to help operators cut fuel consumption and reduce vehicle wear and tear. Most telematics systems simply relay information on driver behaviour to the traffic office where it can be analysed and used to correct aspects of poor driving, such as over-revving or heavy braking.

Kleine Zalze was the perfect venue for a gathering of MiX Telematics’ finest as we aimed to close off existing projects and turn our attention and focus to MiX Connect.
Amongst a host of random prizes and an awards ceremony we also got to experience a little interactive drumming. A two day workshop was followed by a braai of note as the greater team shared some bonding time in anticipation of the challenges and excitement of the new project!

("Dealstream") has been placed in provisional liquidation. This may prejudice
the beneficial, indirect interest that Charles Tasker, a director of the

We are pleased to announce the upcoming release of FM-Web v9.10. Following the server upgrade on 13 September 2008, we will commence upgrading individual FM-Web databases to v9.10. We expect the database upgrades will be complete by 27 September 2008 at which point the latest version of FM-Web will be visible to users. With its improved look and feel, the new version also boasts great new features.

We are pleased to announce that phase 1 of the Soweto Youth and Development Projects’ sponsorship has been completed. We provided the funds for the Ekukhanyeni crèche to upgrade their facilities. To date, the new kitchen has been built and the old kitchen has been converted to an additional toilet block for the children. Phase 2 involves the setting up of a computer resource centre providing internet and other infrastructure to the children of this community which will be implemented in the near future.
